Families

We pride ourselves on being a child friendly Chalet operator and many of the families who stay with us come back year after year! Raising a young family in the Alps we know what is needed to make your holiday a success and that happy children make happy parents!

The Chalets

Both chalets are children friendly – Maya has a separate children’s corner with bean bags, selection of games, satellite TV, DVD. Grassonnets also has satellite TV with a selection of children’s DVD’s as well as games.

We are able to provide children’s cots (please bring your own bedding), high chairs, child gates and sterilizing equipment as well as car booster seats. We can also arrange for nappies and formula milk to be bought in advance too.

We also rent out for a small charge toddler and young children’s ski clothing.

The Skiing

Four of the five different ski areas in Chamonix are suitable for intermediates and one of the nicest beginner areas is Les Chosolets next to Les Grands Montets in Argentiere. This area is only a 2 min drive from the chalet. La Vormaine is a larger beginners area which is a 5 min drive up the valley next to Le Tour.

Child Care Services

Babies/Children aged 3 months to 3 years
We can help organise you a babysitter for evenings out as well as a day time nanny/babysitting service for an extra charge.

Children Aged 3 to 12 years

We have the Panda Club on our doorstep – a 2 min drive from the chalet which provides excellent all day or half day crèche or ski school facilities. All the instructors speak English and there are generally a large percentage of English speaking children. They have a fun play park, indoor play area, one lift tow as well as Les Chosalets nursery slopes nearby. As an indication, 5 full days with skiing lessons and lunch costs about £200.

Babysitting

For kids of all ages (including infants), we have a list of Tourist Office-approved and regulated nannies and babysitters.

Dinners

Chef can either offer that nights menu or will cook cuisine with Kidz appeal; spaghetti, home-made pizza, crispy chicken fillets with fried potatoes for example. These are all freshly prepared. We will look forward to speaking with mum on the phone and receiving the hit list!
